New railroas line Immenstadt-Oberstdorf for TS3
The Immenstadt-Oberstdorf railroad line is a branch line that branches off from the Lindau-Kempten railroad line in Immenstadt and runs via Blaichach, Sonthofen, Altstädten, Fischen and Langenwang to Oberstdorf. It was built in 1873 at the instigation of the town of Sonthofen as one of the so-called ‘Vizinalbahnen’,which were used in Bavaria to designate lines for the development of rural areas.

Although the line is located in a rural area, the non-electrified railroad is very important for tourism and is still used by long-distance trains today.
